It’s been 3 weeks since I began this plant-only diet. A very tough three weeks. I am constantly hungry. This past weekend, I did not even want to get out of bed. Maybe my body is in shock, I certainly did not give it time to make this a gradual process by any account.
Normally, I skip breakfast, eat one big lunch and that completes my whole nutritional regimen for the day and only if lunch is not enough, then I will have dinner.

Being on a vegetarian diet, I feel hungrier. In order to sustain a comparable level of functions throughout the day, I now eat at least 3 meals. Some fruits in the morning, a big bowl of salad with a variety of seeds for lunch, and rice with steamed vegetables or soup for dinner.
Even as I write, “plant-based”, I have not completely gotten rid of all animal products, unfertilized eggs and milk are still a part of my diet. I am learning as I go along. Until I learn how to get all my proteins needs from only plants or supplements, these will have to remain a part of my nourishment needs.
I am choosing to continue this commitment and experiment for the time being while closely monitoring my body feedbacks. Successful vegetarians and vegans, if you have any tips or recipes. I welcome your comments.
Thank you
