Always cherish these experiences and connections to continue to learn about the democratic processes and systems in America.
As Rep. Jon Hardister knows well, when he asked us: “what is the government in Cambodia like”, it’s certainly not free, open or fair. Ironically, our Cambodian “democratic” system is also due for its election this upcoming 2023.
Its a breath of fresh air, to know that one can go freely and listen in or take snapshot with any poltical candidates on any side without fear of reprisal or retribution.
America is still a great country. I hope its future continues to be open and welcoming to immigrants and that she continues to support democracies for countries around the world.
