I think this might be a first, but shouldn’t be the only – a digital food forest garden NFT

What if you can quit your job to do what you love, and what if that love can transform the world? When so many people go hungry each day, why do we ignore the obvious solution right in front, or actually, behind us? When we turn each home into a model for sustainable food forest or garden, we can grow a community that values kindness, sharing and generosity to ourselves and the planet. Ubuntu, from the South African language means “a quality that includes the essential human virtues; compassion and humanity.”

With the first digital garden NFT, I invite you to take part in that ideal. I am going to list my garden space ownership for sell on OpenSea as a Non-Fungible Token. Whoever buys it get a notarized rights to the space and all the fruits of my labor on the garden. The right will be held for as long as the property exists and the agreement will be added on as addendum to any future purchaser of the home.

The idea is that the owner of the NFT Garden, will own a digital token that ties to physical garden which is dedicated to concept of a citizen’s public forest garden where anything grown in that space is considered public goods and accessible to anyone that need food. The token owner will have right to direct the development of the garden. They will own the garden.

Together, the steward of the NFT Garden (homeowner), and the owner of the NFT Garden token, will model by example, how each home designed and lived with compassion and humanity can transform our world and help tackle community hunger problems and promote the SDG’s Zero Hunger Sustainable Goal number 2.
