My alarms still wake me up to your schedule with your name that is still on my phone that I cannot bring myself to remove.
After you left, I cope each day with a morning prayer. A reminder to be thankful for the times you stayed with us. Every morning my gratitude prayer alarm goes off at 7 am.

I thank you for putting up a fight, for giving us strength through your smiles. Thank you for giving us the chance to care and express our love for you and give everything we could to make you well.
“Deep breath, 1, 2, 3,4,5… exhale… repeat”. Mindful breaths. We relived the memories and places that take your headaches away. The moment the doctors took you off life support, we were so scared that you wouldn’t be able to breathe on your own. But you did, you were strong!
Even then, as you breathe on your own and got well. I never took out our scheduled exercise time.

Every morning at 9:00 AM, your name appears on my alarm. But I know that you no longer need to breathe, you no longer need to walk. You are free, free from the separation of the body and space.
The entire Earth is your lung now, you don’t have to think about breathing anymore. Now you can be anywhere, any time no distance or space can keep you because you no longer are tied to a form.
You are free. I know we have to let you go. I know I have to let you go. Please go and be well my dear.
Find Peace, we will always love you. I will cherish your memory to the end of time.
Love You,
Pu Don
